Welcome to Caribbean Centre for Monetary Studies. The CCMS evolved from Regional Programme of Monetary Studies (RPMS) - a programme established in 1968 as a partnership between Caribbean Central Banks and the Universities of the West Indies and Guyana, to facilitate high quality research in monetary, financial and central banking issues in the region. CCMS was set up in 1995 with the principal aim of building on the solid research foundation of the old RPMS, while enhancing efforts in the area of central bank training and the creation of an adequate and specialist regional repository of information. CCMS is fully geared to improving the region's research and forecasting capabilities, permitting as a result, more adequate responses to the rapidly changing Caribbean environment.
